day 16 - June 9

Day 16.  Time.

My trusty watch has been through a lot with me this last year, traveling all over the place and getting hit by a car, but it still reliably tells me what time it is every day :).  

day 15 - June 8

Day 15.  Something new.

I have been doing my nails a lot these days, so I thought that it made for an appropriate 'something new' :)

nail polish used: Ardene 15.

I went pretty simple this time, just a plain metallic blue :)  A friend of mine was getting rid of some colours a few years ago and gave this to me...  This is the first time I have used it and while  the polish is may not be the best quality, I love the colour :).

Also, how amazing is this cake that my friend made for me!

day 14 - June 7

Day 14.  Fruit or Vegetable.

So, I didn't forget to post yesterday... It was a conscious choice on my part.  I was just too tired to deal with it and as this blog is supposed to be fun, I thought I would just move yesterday's post to today :)

When I found out that I was going to be in bed for awhile (obviously I didn't know it would be this long :P), I cut wheat and processed sugar from my diet so that I could avoid blowing up like a balloon ;)
My body is a bit strange; as long as I exercise I can eat whatever I want, but the moment I stop exercising I am in big trouble (no pun intended :)).
So, I have been eating really healthy lately and I think that it has really helped me.  Not just in lack of weight gain but also my attitude and outlook on the whole situation :)  I still really wish that I could do some form of exercise though!

day 13 - June 5

Day 13.  Sunshine.

Well I got a few pictures of the sun today before it decided that it didn't like me :)

And because the sun was so amazing in Spain, I have added a few of my pictures of the Spanish sun as well :)

day 12 - June 4

Day 12.  Something that makes you happy.

Today was another hard one!  I have a lot of things in my life that make me happy right now... It is hard to put happy into an image though :)  So, I have supplemented the pictures from today with a few others :)

Discovering this litte guy outside the front door makes me happy.

I wish that you could smell these beautiful flowers :) (they make me happy ;)

These days, just getting out of the house make me happy :)

Hanging out with my beautiful Mama makes me happy :)

Windsurfing (read: water, wind, time with my dad) makes me happy. 

Dancing makes me happy :)

Ice skating makes me very happy :)  So does spending time with this  awesome girl :)

Good memories make me happy :)

day 11 - June 3

Day 11.  Self portrait.

Well I honestly don't know what I was thinking.  A self portrait?!  Obviously not one of my better ideas :)  I feel like I could have been really deep with this (e.g. 'a rain drop signifying my soul' ;)), but I totally just went literal and took a bunch of pictures of myself... Mostly of my face really, I found out that it is kind of hard to arrange yourself artistically with a bum knee :)  

So without further ado:  Two giant pictures of my face! :)

Also, because I feel a bit like I am failing at this particular day:

-I am 19 years old and my birthday is February 14th.

-In relation to that:  I do like hearts but pink is most definitely not my favorite colour (not like I hate it or anything though :))

-I am a Christian and I try my hardest to follow God every day.

-I am a bit of a tomboy sometimes, but I can also be very girly (in a non pink way ;))

-I windsurf and dance.

-I have been windsurfing since I was twelve, and dancing since I was three.

-I read really, really, fast.  Like three or four books a day fast. (If I have time ;))

-I will also read pretty much anything.... Same for movies, the only thing that I will never read or watch is horror.

-I was homeschooled for most of my life... Right through high school and everything :)

-I love shoes :)

-I can be really competitive sometimes...  I like to win :)

-If you want to make me happy all you have to do is take me somewhere with a large body of water.

-I am fiercely proud to be a Canadian and while I love to travel, at this time in my life I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world.

-When I get really happy or excited about something I dance :)

And, yah... that's me :)

day 10 - June 2

Day 10.  Front door.

Well, I ended up staying in my pj's all day today (the benefits of being laid up ;)), so I didn't take a picture of a front door today but I thought I would share some front doors from my travels :)

day 9 - June 1

Day 9.  Blue.

First day of June already!  That kind of blows my mind to tell you the truth ;)

So today I had to take a picture of the colour blue :)  It made me realize that I have a lot of blue in my life :)  (It is one of my favourite colours ;))

Anyway, these pictures are of some gifts that I got as I was leaving Spain... a necklace and a scarf...close up :)

Today turned out to be a good day in the end.  It did not start out that well...It was super overcast all day which always makes me feel really down and blah which is never fun.  But I took it easy this morning, and then I had a visit from my pastor which was nice... then I actually got some writing done which always makes me happy (yay for accomplishing something!), and then this evening was just spent with my family :)
